Improving access to education also requires enhancement and capacity building of the teaching resources. So, to empower the teachers, it is crucial to understand the significance of the teacher professional development programs that could build capacities to ensure the quality of education. 

Solution

The Teacher Training Curriculum Model (TTCM) is a training framework that targets capacity building of public school teachers from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education according to the standards in the Teacher Competency Framework (TCF) adopted by the Ministry. For education personnel, management and financial training packages are being developed to support the development of competencies required to implement School Improvement Plans (SIPs). 

Impact

The  Teacher Training Curriculum Model (TTCM) project has to be reported to have satisfactory performance in terms of its implementation. Based on the evaluation of the project, some findings identify fulfillment of children's rights to education. Moreover, the project allowed the teachers to understand how to work with a diverse range of students, including students from refugee communities.
